Stargate Fans Weaponize E-Commerce to Physically Protest Amazon MGM Studios

Minneapolis, Minn. — June 11, 2026 — Frustrated by years of silence following Amazon’s acquisition of MGM, fans of the sci-fi franchise Stargate have escalated their demands from digital petitions to physical payloads.

Through a new e-commerce proxy service called "Send More Stargate," fans across the globe are purchasing custom tribute boxes inspired by a classic prop from the Stargate SG-1 pilot episode. Acting as a sci-fi "message in a bottle," these tissue boxes carry a simple, handwritten plea: "SEND MORE STARGATE."

Rather than shipping the boxes to the buyers, the proxy service routes every individual package directly to the desks of top Amazon MGM Studios executives in Culver City, California.

"The powers that be have shut down the Stargate program, so we are flooding their gate room with a message they can't ignore," said Michael Scott, the campaign's organizer. "This isn't a random PR mailer. Every single box represents a fiercely loyal, paying fan who wants their voice heard. We are tired of waiting in the dark."

The physical protest has rapidly gained global traction, with proxy orders flooding in from the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, and Quebec.

On June 10, the campaign successfully deployed Wave 1 of the strike, physically dropping 30 customized proxy boxes into the USPS system bound for Amazon Studios.

The movement immediately caught fire online, earning public endorsements from original Stargate SG-1 star Michael Shanks (Dr. Daniel Jackson), who retweeted the campaign, as well as support from former franchise showrunner Joseph Mallozzi.

With Wave 1 officially in transit, the campaign has already opened orders for Wave 2, escalating the deployment goal to 50 boxes as the fandom maintains sustained physical pressure on Amazon MGM Studios to reopen the gate.
